A grocery platform that uses artificial intelligence to create a customized food environment that promotes healthy, sustainable foods and drinks tailored to customer's budget and taste preferences.
SYNOPSIS
The main goal for this semester includes two deliverables. The current state of Lola's 2.0 includes scripts to scrape Walmart for beverage information such as nutrition facts.
Our first goal is to expand this to both other food categories (e.g. packaged snacks, premaid meals, etc...). We also hope to expand this also to other retailers beyond Walmart.
Our second goal is to develop an UI where we can give AI recommendations using the data scraped from the above script. This can be in the form of a web widget that recommends alternatives to users. We hope to recommend alternatives such as: healthiest, most similar, matches goals, etc. We hope to start with Walmart, then expand to other US retailers such as Kroger, Harris Teeter, etc.
